Journal of Education and Learning Reviews (JELS) hereby announces an important enhancement to its publishing and citation practices as part of its continued alignment with international scholarly publishing standards.

Adoption of Article ID System

Effective from Volume 3, Issue 1, the journal has formally transitioned from traditional page-based article numbering to an Article ID system for all published manuscripts.

This change has been implemented to improve the accuracy, consistency, and interoperability of article identification in digital publishing environments and international indexing systems.

Rationale and Publishing Standards

The adoption of Article IDs reflects JELS’s commitment to:

  • Modern digital-first publishing practices

  • Improved citation clarity and metadata consistency

  • Enhanced compatibility with abstracting and indexing services

  • Long-term sustainability in online scholarly communication

Article IDs replace page ranges in citations and are integrated into the journal’s DOI registration and metadata submission processes.

Implementation and Accessibility

All articles published from Volume 3, Issue 1 onward are assigned a unique Article ID, clearly displayed on the article landing page and in the full-text PDF. This ensures unambiguous identification of individual articles across platforms and databases.

The first issue published under this system is available at:

Commitment to Best Practices

This update represents a structural improvement in JELS’s editorial and publishing workflow and demonstrates the journal’s ongoing efforts to meet recognized international standards for transparency, accessibility, and citation integrity.
