This study focuses on the development of an electronic payment system for the Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University, known as the Engineering Payment System (EnPay). The system was designed to address delays, paperwork redundancy, and administrative burden in the collection of article processing fees for the Engineering and Applied Science Research (EASR) journal. The research was conducted between August 1 and October 30, 2025, with two primary objectives: (1) to develop EnPay as a dedicated platform for processing EASR publication fees, and (2) to assess user satisfaction with the system. The study applied the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology to design and develop EnPay as a web-based application integrated with the KKU Payment Hub, supporting multiple digital payment channels and the automatic issuance of electronic receipts (e-Receipts). A user satisfaction survey was employed to evaluate the system’s performance. The results indicate that EnPay fully met its intended objectives, demonstrating high levels of performance, including a 100% transaction success rate, zero errors (Error Rate = 0%), and an average processing time of only 1.5 seconds (p50). User evaluations reflected a “very high” level of satisfaction in terms of convenience, transparency, and security. In addition, EnPay contributed to operational improvements by significantly reducing administrative paperwork, shortening payment verification time from several hours to just a few seconds, enhancing data accuracy, and improving the reliability of journal management processes. The system also supports sustainable digital transformation within the organization. Overall, EnPay represents an innovation that enhances both the operational efficiency of journal management and the quality of services provided to users.
