Development of the equipment management system of Faculty of Physical Therapy, Srinakharinwirot University

Abstract

This research aims to develop an equipment management system for the Faculty of Physical Therapy, Srinakharinwirot University and check the efficiency of the newly developed system. Enabling staff access without involving procurement officers. The database updates instantly upon data entry (real-time). This study composed two parts: 1) System development: determining the desired system characteristics using a group discussion process. system design Import the database and test the system by computer experts. who is an expert, 2) Check system performance With a sample group of 17 operational personne. Developing this system is an application of information technology called ASP.NET in creating an equipment management system. For users to access the database through the university's internet network. and define database access rights according to roles and responsibilities to protect data security Users of the system are divided into 3 groups: 1) Person who approves repairs, moving, borrowing-returning 2) Procurement officer who is responsible for recording information into the system and checking information and 3) database users. The result of system development is a database of equipment that is easily accessible to personnel in all departments and the results of checking the efficiency of the system found that 100 percent of system users were able to access equipment information. You can do it yourself through a web browser without having to go through a parcel officer. The equipment database is changed as soon as the information is recorded through the equipment management system (repair, movement, loan-return). and correct according to current reality The system trial evaluation results were at a high level, with an average rating of 4.53 points out of 5 points, and the work process was reduced by 3 steps, and the operating time was reduced by 15 minutes.
