The Needs Assessment to Activities Arrangement for Potential Development of Undergraduate Students, Faculty of Education, Srinakharinwirot University

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the needs for organizing student potential development activities for students of the Faculty of Education, Srinakharinwirot University, and (2) to identify appropriate guidelines for such activities among students in the Faculty of Education, Srinakharinwirot University. The sample consisted of 290 undergraduate students from Years 1 to 4, determined using Yamane’s formula. The research instrument was a questionnaire validated by three experts for content accuracy and consistency with the research objectives. Data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Cronbach’s alpha coefficient for both current and expected conditions. The findings revealed that the overall level of needs for organizing student potential development activities was at the highest level. By aspect, the benefits of organizing student activities obtained the highest mean score, followed by activity management, both at the highest level. The characteristics of student activities had the lowest mean score but remained at   a high level. Under the expected conditions, the overall needs were also at the highest level, with the same ranking across all three aspects.
