Managing schools on islands presents a unique and complex challenge due to several limitations, including geographical isolation, difficult transportation, and limited resources. These factors directly impact the quality of education, leading to key issues in administration, instructional management, supporting factors, and external coordination. Therefore, school administrators play a crucial role as strategic and change leaders to drive educational quality in these specific contexts. Practical management guidelines should include Strategic and Transformative Leadership. Administrators must have a broad vision, flexible management, and the ability to utilize innovation to address local constraints. Promoting Participation and Collaboration: Actively involving the community and parents in management to foster a sense of ownership and focusing on Teacher Development Providing continuous internal supervision and professional development for teachers, with an emphasis on essential and contextually appropriate teaching skills. Building Multi-stakeholder Collaboration: Administrators must be at the forefront of creating collaborative networks with teachers, parents, and the community to collectively drive sustainable educational development. In conclusion, successful management of island schools requires a combination of decentralized governance, community participation, innovative development, and, most importantly, the administrator's leadership in building collaboration across all sectors to genuinely improve the quality of education for students.
