The results of the study found that: 3 characteristics appear in the film: 1) the representation of a dystopian society with environmental problems caused by the industrial revolution through capitalism and nuclear war leading to pollution and food shortages; 2) the representation of a dystopian society with class politics where class domination is created where the leader is constructed as a new god, a father with the only reproductive ability, a king of speed in the desert, and a symbol of fertility. Class negotiation appears from the struggle and negotiation with the domination power in the belief that there is still a utopian world that is rich and free hidden somewhere in the world. In addition, the text also emphasizes that class can change, if the leader is good, the people will live happily without war; and 3) the representation of dystopian society and gender politics, the image of sexual oppression where women are sexually objectified appears in the film, while in terms of gender negotiation, women are constructed as warriors to fight against the dictatorship. In addition, the film also criticizes humans and science, war, and the capitalist industrial system that has damaged nature and the environment, and offers a solution by creating an ecotopia society as a society that values the ecosystem that will make the barren land fertile again.</p> Rangsan Naiprom Copyright (c) 2025 รังสรรค์ นัยพรม https://so19.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JOWD/article/view/1366 Thu, 06 Nov 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Yok Or Yo Khu : The power of belief and faith through the ritual of paying homage to teachers in Isan society https://so19.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JOWD/article/view/1477 <p>This academic article aims to study the raising of sugarcane, the power of belief and faith through the ritual of paying homage to teachers in Isan society.
