Guideline Using in Administrative Skills of School Administrator in Phanthong School under The Secondary Education Service Area Office Chonburi Rayong

Abstract

This independent study aimed to 1) ascertain the level of administrative skills utilization by school administrators, 2) compare the application of administrative skills by administrators categorized by respondents' work experience, and 3) identify guidelines for enhancing administrators' management skills. The sample comprised 59 administrators and teachers from Phanthong School. Two data collection instruments were employed: a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and a semi-structured interview protocol to interview three experts. Statistical analyses included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, one-way ANOVA at a .05 significance level, and content analysis. The findings revealed: 1. The levels of administrative skills utilization by school administrators, when considered by individual domains in descending order, were cognitive skills, instructional skills, technical skills, conceptual skills, and human skills, respectively. 2. The comparison of administrative skills utilization by administrators, categorized by respondents' work experience in their positions, showed overall differences. When examining individual domains, a statistically significant difference at the .05 level was found in conceptual skills. 3. Guidelines for enhancing administrators management skills should include conducting field studies, organizing workshops to gather opinions and suggestions, fostering creativity to obtain perspectives and approaches from experts, finding a balanced common ground among students, teachers, school administrators, and support networks, building teams with expertise, establishing collaborative networks for technology platform usage, and implementing user-friendly digital software for data recording and processing in easily understandable formats.
