Self-development of Employees in Air Freight Forwarding Companies

at Suvarnabhumi Airport

Abstract

This research aims to study the level of self-development of employees in air freight forwarding companies at Suvarnabhumi airport in physical, emotional, social, and cognitive aspects. Also to compare self-development of employees in air freight forwarding companies at Suvarnabhumi airport according to demographic factors. The samples were 415 employees in air freight forwarding companies at Suvarnabhumi airport. This is a quantity research and survey design using questionnaire and statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation were implemented to analyze the data. Moreover, T-test, F-test and one-way ANOVA were used to test the hypotheses. The results revealed that 240 female employees and 215 employees aged 30-39 years, etc. analyzed by T-test, F-test, self-development level of employees of air freight forwarding company at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Overall, employees with working experience between 16-25 years are at a very high level with an average value of 13.05. The hypothesis testing revealed that the differences in demographic factors, including age, gender, levels of education, and work experience differently affected the self-development of the employees in air freight forwarding companies at Suvarnabhumi airport. The research results can be applied to manage and support the self-development of employees within the organization effectively.
