Improving the academic achievement in Thai language, specifically on word formation, of Grade 6/1 students using the CIPPA model of teaching

Abstract

This research, "Improving Thai Language Achievement in Word Formation for Grade 6/1 Students Using the CIPPA Model," aims to: 1) Develop the word formation ability of Grade 6/1 students using the CIPPA Model; 2) Compare the effectiveness of the lesson plan in improving Thai language achievement in word formation for Grade 6/1 students using the CIPPA Model according to the 80/80 criterion; and 3) Study the satisfaction of Grade 6 students with the CIPPA Model teaching method. The sample group consisted of Grade 6/1 students in the first semester of the 2025 academic year at Na-o Wittaya School. The independent variable was the CIPPA Model teaching method, and the dependent variable was Thai language achievement. The research instruments included: 1) Lesson plans, and 2) Satisfaction questionnaires. The statistical methods used were mean, standard deviation, and percentage.

The research findings revealed that: 1) The academic achievement in Thai grammar, specifically on the topic of word formation, of Grade 6/1 students using game-based learning, showed an average score of 83.65%, exceeding the 80% criterion. 2) The study of the effectiveness of the lesson plan in improving academic achievement in Thai grammar, specifically on the topic of word formation, of Grade 6/1 students using the CIPPA MODEL, based on the 80/80 criterion, showed a consistency index of 1.00. 3) The satisfaction of Grade 6/1 students with the CIPPA MODEL learning method was found to be at the highest level.
