Abstract

This research article is part of a study of the influence of the Russian Orthodox Church on Thai multicultural
society in the Bangkok area. The scope of work is divided into temporal and spatial. Chronology is an overview of the
history of Orthodox Christianity, for which it is an overview of the Orthodox Church and its role abroad and dissemination
abroad, including entry into Thailand with three goals: history, foreign affairs, the integration aspects in the analysis of
the influence of Russian Orthodox Christianity and the issues of constituent elements in the two dimensions mentioned
above. The results of the research presented in this article show that historical goals are the fundamental importance
for the role of Russia’s current foreign policy in foreign affairs in connection with the adoption of the Russian Orthodox
Church by the Russian government. Orthodox is used as a soft power for the current Russian foreign policy through
the concept of the Russian World, which affects the conduct of international relations and is associated with social,
cultural, economic, and political the integration dimensions, that is, Russia has roots in Slavism (Slavophiles) who
adhere to Orthodox Christianity, as a result, this has become a mechanism of Russian spiritual reform. The attitude
towards the export of Russian civilization influences and supports national interests through culture, religion, thinking,
and the Russian language. It is considered an offshoot, as a diplomatic mechanism that affects interaction with foreign
countries, especially with the post-Soviet countries, with which Thailand itself, although not directly related to the
group, inevitably has religious ties in relations between Thailand and Russia. The Russian Orthodox Church in Thailand
serves as a spiritual center for the Russian people in a dynamic relationship with the Russian Orthodox Diocese.
