Strategic Leadership in the 21st Century of School Administrators in Secondary Schools, Loei Province

Abstract
This research aimed to 1) study the level of strategic leadership in the 21st century of school administrators in secondary schools in Loei Province, 2) compare strategic leadership classified by personal factors, and 3) study guidelines for developing strategic leadership. The research employed a mixed-methods approach. The sample for the quantitative research consisted of 306 school administrators and teachers in secondary schools in Loei Province, while the informants for the qualitative research were 9 experts in educational administration. The research instruments were a questionnaire and a semi-structured interview form. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and content analysis.
The results revealed that 1) the overall level of strategic leadership in the 21st century of school administrators was high, 2) school administrators with different administrative experiences had significantly different levels of strategic leadership at the .05 level, with those having more experience demonstrating higher levels of strategic leadership, and 3) the guidelines for developing strategic leadership consisted of developing vision and strategic thinking, enhancing skills in implementing strategies, developing communication skills and building participation, strengthening knowledge and skills in strategic evaluation and control, and developing leadership and adaptability in the digital era.
