Decision Making Process in The Tripitaka

Abstract

This article aims to study and analyze the decision-making processes found in the Tripitaka and their application in the context of contemporary educational administration. It presents three key decision-making principles: Yonisomanasikara (systematic thinking), Kalama Sutta (critical thinking), and the Four Noble Truths (systematic problem-solving). The study also examines case studies from the Tripitaka that demonstrate the application of these principles. The findings reveal that the decision-making principles from the Tripitaka can be effectively applied to educational administration, particularly in strategic planning, policy and project evaluation, problem-solving and educational quality improvement, and creating an organizational culture that emphasizes rational decision-making. This article demonstrates that the concepts from the Tripitaka remain relevant and can be effectively utilized in developing education in the modern era.
