A study of teaching behavior that emphasizes the cultivation of morality and ethics in students of teachers in schools in Minburi District, Bangkok

The objectives of this research were 1) to study teaching behaviors that focus on cultivating morality and ethics, 2) to compare teaching behaviors of teachers with different backgrounds, and 3) to study the relationship between teaching behaviors and teachers' backgrounds. The population was 173 teachers in Minburi District, Bangkok, with a sample of 121, using Taro Yamane's method. The statistics used were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-independent test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient.
The results showed that: 1) Teaching behavior emphasizing the cultivation of morality and ethics had the highest level, with personal attributes being the highest (Mean=4.68, S.D.=0.44) and teaching and learning management the lowest (Mean=4.21, S.D.=0.67). 2) Teachers of different genders showed significant differences in teaching behaviors related to morality, ethics, personal attributes, interaction with learners, and overall aspects at the 0.05 level. 3) Age and teaching experience did not show significant relationships in terms of personal characteristics, teaching preparation, teaching and learning management, interaction with learners, and overall aspects.
