APPROACHES TO MORAL DEVELOPMENT AFFECTING THAI FAMILIES IN BANGKOK

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the problems and condition of moral development that affect Thai family institution in Bangkok, 2) to analyze and synthesize moral development guidelines that affect Thai family institution in Bangkok, and 3) to suggest moral development guidelines that affect the Thai family institution in Bangkok This research applied quantitative research. The sample groups used in this research was 400 people in Bangkok. The research instrument was a questionnaire.

            The research results found that

            The average weight of the problems of moral development guidelines that affect all 3 aspects of the Thai family institution is 3.04. The S.D. value is 0.89, which can be interpreted as being at a moderate level while in poverty and conflict These are the top 2 areas with the highest average weight, with average values of 3.07 and 3.04, all of which can be interpreted as being at a moderate level, with S.D. values of 0.99 and 0.74, respectively. In terms of estrangement, has the lowest average weight of 3.02, S.D. value of 0.93, which can be interpreted that is at a moderate level.

            The average weight in the analysis of moral development guidelines that affect the family institution in 3 areas is equal to 3.08. The S.D. value is equal to 0.87. The results can be interpreted as being at a moderate level while creating the appropriate environment     and the development of family potential these are the top 2 areas with the highest average weight, with average levels of 3.14 and 3.12. Both sides can be interpreted as being at a high level and moderate levels have S.D. values of 0.85 and 0.85, respectively. Meanwhile promoting financial stability It has the lowest average weight, which is 2.99. The S.D. value is 0.90, which results in that is at a moderate level.

Morality has an average weight of 3.07 with an S.D. value of 0.88, which can be interpreted as being at a moderate level. Knowledge has an average weight of 3.06 with an S.D. value of 0.88, respectively. Support has a low average weight. The highest value is equal to 3.05 with an S.D. value of 0.92, which can be interpreted as being at a moderate level.
