Factors Affecting the Performance of Local Government Officials in Udon Thani Province According to the Principles of Ditthadhammikatthasangwattanikadham

Abstract

This research aims as follows: 1) To study the working conditions according to the principle of Ditthadhammikatthasangwattanikadham of civil servants 2) To study the factors affecting the working conditions according to the principle of Ditthadhammikatthasangwattanikadham of civil servants 3) To study the development guidelines for working conditions according to the principle of Ditthadhammikatthasangwattanikadham of local government officials in Udon Thani Province. This research is mixed methods research. The sample group is 400 people aged 18-60 in Udon Thani Province. The target group for providing information in the interview is 10 local government executives and community leaders. The statistics used in the research are statistics using frequency distribution and percentage of respondents. The analysis is presented in tables using mean and standard deviation statistics. Multiple regression analysis using the sequential variable selection method is used to discuss the results and descriptive data analysis.

The research results found that:

1) The working conditions according to the principles of Ditthadhammikatthasangwattanikadham of civil servants were overall at a moderate level ( =3.07 S.D.=0.52), ranked from most to least as follows: Kalyanamitta (ready to have good friends), Samajivita (ready to make a moderate living), Arakkhasampatha (ready to maintain), and Utthansampatha (ready to be diligent), respectively.

2) Factors affecting the working conditions according to the principles of Ditthadhammikatthasangwattanikadham of civil servants With statistical significance at the .05 level, namely, the application factor (X2), the evaluation and monitoring factor (X4), the planning factor (X1), and the efficiency and effectiveness factor (X5) had the coefficients of the predictors in the raw scores (b) equal to .540, .403, .393, and .014, respectively.

3) The guidelines for developing work performance according to the principle of Ditthadhammikatthasangwattanikadham of civil servants are that administrators should set policies, create patience and diligence in working for work success, love and cherish government property as if it were their own property, know how to use and maintain it for good use, have good human relations with everyone, whether they are coworkers or individuals/government agencies, and people who come to do business, by applying the royal speech of His Majesty the King to daily life and know how to save money for use in times of need.
