Language Editing
Manuscripts must be written in clear and correct academic English. Reviewers and editors cannot evaluate research that is difficult to understand because of language problems.
Before Submission
- Ask a colleague who is fluent in academic English to read your manuscript.
- Consider using a professional academic language editing service, particularly if English is not your first language.
- Ensure that terminology is consistent throughout, and that Pali, Sanskrit, and Thai terms are transliterated consistently and italicised, with English equivalents at first use.
Use of a language editing service is not mandatory and does not guarantee acceptance. Editorial decisions are based solely on academic merit. Authors are responsible for the cost of any editing service they choose.
After Acceptance
Accepted articles are copyedited by the journal for clarity, grammar, and consistency with APA 7th edition. Authors are asked to approve all changes at the proof stage.
