Political Participation of Political Science Students, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Surindra Rajabhat University

Abstract

This research aims to 1) Study the level of political participation of students. 2) Comparison of political participation of students classified by personal factors. And 3) Present guidelines for developing political participation of students in the Political Science Program, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Surindra Rajabhat University. There are 125 students in the first to third year. Using the random sampling method from Taroyamane, a sample of 95 people was obtained. Selected using a multi-stage sampling method A questionnaire was used to collect data. The reliability of the whole questionnaire was 0.923. The statistics used for analysis were. Including frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and F-value (One-way ANOVA). The research results found that

Analysis of personal status of the respondents The personal status of the sample group of respondents was mostly female, 72 people, or 24.2 percent. 45 people, or 47.5 percent, were in the age range of 20-21 years. 38 people, or 40.0 percent, were in the first year. The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences had 95 political science students, or 100.0 percent, with a monthly income of 2,000-3,000 baht, and 52 people, or 54.7 percent, respectively. The overall political participation of Political Science students, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Surindra Rajabhat University, had a high average value ( = 3.63, S.D. = 0.497). When considering each aspect, following political news was at the highest level. The highest mean score was in the aspect of voting, with a high mean score (  = 3.81, S.D. = 0.615), followed by the aspect of voting, with a high mean score (  = 3.81, S.D. = 0.582), the aspect of expressing political opinions, with a high mean score (  = 3.72, S.D. = 0.544), respectively, and finally, the aspect of political participation, with a medium mean score (  = 3.19, S.D. = 0.801).

The comparative results of political participation of political science students, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Surin Rajabhat University, classified by personal factors, found that students with different genders had different levels of participation in political participation of political science students, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Surin Rajabhat University overall. Therefore, the overall difference was the hypothesis.
