The Influence of social media usage on academic performance

This study investigates the impact of social media usage on students' academic performance at Southern Leyte State University – Tomas Oppus. Using a descriptive-correlational design with surveys and interviews, it analyzes patterns like screen time, platform preference, and purpose of use. Results help determine whether social media acts as a learning tool or a distraction, offering strategies for responsible digital behavior in academic settings.
