Career Development According to the Principles of Sufficiency Economy, Ban Kra-om, Kra-om Subdistrict, Samrong Thap District Surin Province

Abstract

The purpose of this research is fourfold: 1) to study the occupational conditions, 2) to examine the factors affecting career development, 3) to investigate the process of career development in line with sustainable economic principles, and 4) to explore pathways for career development in line with the sustainable economy of Ban Kraom, Kraom Subdistrict, Samrong Thap District, Surin Province, focusing on buffalo conservation. Data collection methods include interviews, group discussions, and the use of questionnaires. A total of 233 respondents participated in the questionnaire survey conducted between November 2566 and March 2567.

        Ban Kraom is a relatively large village with a significant population engaged in various activities such as biogas production from cow and buffalo dung, organic fertilizer production, and local knowledge dissemination related to livelihoods. The village also has a community health center, a communal pond for water supply, and a main road connecting Samrong Thap District to Rattanaburi District, facilitating transportation. However, the village faces challenges such as insufficient lighting, deteriorating roads, a predominantly elderly population focusing on livestock farming with irregular incomes, leading to higher expenses than income and increasing debt.
