An Application of the Four Iddhipāda Dhamma in Online Learning Management: A Case Study of Social Studies Teachers in Secondary Educational Service Area Office 24

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of the Four Iddhipāda Dhamma in online learning management among social studies teachers in the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 24. The research focuses on evaluating how these principles—Chanda (desire), Viriya (effort), Citta (thoughtfulness), and Vīmaṁsā  (investigation)—are applied in the context of online teaching. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study involves both quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with school administrators and teachers. The findings indicate that while the overall application of the Four Iddhipāda Dhamma is moderate, certain aspects, such as Vīmaṁsā , are more prominently integrated into teaching practices. The study also identifies differences in application based on teachers' positions and school sizes. Recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of online learning through the integration of Buddhist principles are discussed.
