THE BUDDHIST POLITICAL LEADERSHIP OF THAI POLITICIANS ACCORDING DEMOCRACY REGIME
Keywords:
Buddhist Political LeadershipAbstract
Leadership values are shaped by the prevailing values of each era, determining whether a leader can successfully guide members or society. When a leader performs their role by exercising authority or influence, they can inspire and direct individuals or groups to exhibit behaviors that lead to the success or failure of the group. The qualities exhibited by a leader define their leadership. In the perspective of Buddhism, political leadership for Thai politicians in a democratic system must be guided by certain moral principles, including the principles of Pāpanikadhamma, Brahmavihāra, Saṅgahavatthu, and impartiality (Agati). These principles help promote good leadership, prevent exploitation, and foster the qualities of a good politician within a democratic framework.
