Social Studies Learning and Teaching Skills in the 21st Century

Abstract

Education management in the 21st century must be linked to social processes, economic systems, and must be consistent with scientific and technological advances and rapid changes in all areas. Learning outcomes indicators for 21st century skills include: 1. Intellectual skills: knowing, thinking and practicing. 2. Creativity and innovation: demonstrating creativity, producing knowledge and developing innovations that are products and processes using technology. 3. Communication and collaboration: the ability to utilize digital media and the digital environment. 4. Critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as important characteristics of people in the 21st century that should be developed in 3 areas: 1) knowledge, 2) learning and thinking skills, 3) life skills.
