<p>This article aims to study vote buying and selling as a critical issue undermining the democratic process in Thailand. It not only impacts the transparency and fairness of elections but also erodes public trust in the overall political system. The article focuses on examining and proposing strategies for campaigning against vote buying and selling through public participation. This approach is deemed essential for raising awareness and altering voter behavior while strengthening democratic culture in the long term The campaign process relies on public participation at all levels, beginning with building collaborative networks among government agencies, private sectors, and communities. This collaboration aims to develop effective communication strategies that reach a broad audience through mass media, modern technology, and creative activities tailored to the contexts of target communities. Additionally, motivating citizens to recognize the value of their voting rights and encouraging their role in monitoring electoral processes—such as volunteering to oversee elections or reporting behaviors indicative of vote buying and selling—are crucial components for fostering sustainable anti-corruption mechanisms This type of campaign leads to structural changes, reducing vote buying and selling in the short term while fostering a stronger democratic culture in the long run. <p>This article aims to study and analyze electoral corruption as a significant issue that impacts democratic governance and public trust in the electoral system. Addressing and resolving this issue necessitates the involvement of all sectors of society in a collaborative process. The objective of this article is to explore preventive and corrective measures against electoral corruption through the participation of citizens, government agencies, the private sector, and civil society organizations. Utilizing qualitative research methods, the study encompasses document analysis, in-depth interviews with experts, and relevant case studies.</p> <p>The findings reveal that public participation is a cornerstone of creating a transparent and fair electoral process, particularly through election monitoring and oversight initiatives. These include establishing citizen volunteer networks, organizing training sessions on voter rights and responsibilities, and campaigning to raise awareness about rejecting vote-buying practices. Regarding government agencies, proactive measures such as the development of real-time reporting systems, coordination with related agencies, and modernization of electoral laws to ensure comprehensiveness and relevance are crucial for preventing and addressing corruption. Additionally, fostering collaboration with the private sector and civil society organizations—such as launching campaigns to promote youth and public engagement, leveraging information technology to monitor election processes, and enhancing the media's role in effectively reporting corruption issues—significantly reduces opportunities for misconduct.</p> <p>This article concludes that tackling electoral corruption requires a concerted effort from all sectors, emphasizing a transparent and systematic participatory approach. The research was conducted through document analysis and case studies of successful leaders at both national and international levels, aiming to propose developmental guidelines for leadership attributes that align with societal needs.</p> <p>The findings reveal that an effective political leader should possess four key attributes 1.Integrity and transparency to build trust and confidence among the public. 2.Management skills, encompassing policy formulation, problem-solving, and critical decision-making 2 3.Ethics and social responsibility, reflecting a readiness to sacrifice and work for the common good 4.The ability to inspire and foster social unity through clear communication and the promotion of collaboration.</p> <p>The article also identifies critical factors influencing the development of leadership attributes, including education, ethical training, and support from a fair and transparent social structure.
